What is Annie’s Project: Farm Business Management?
Annie’s Project is the agricultural business education program that empowers farm and ranch women who want to be more knowledgeable about their agricultural enterprises. Women learn best with and from other women, and Annie’s Project takes advantage of that fact by creating a comfortable and supportive learning environment focused on the best risk management practices.
At the end of six weeks, participants will know more about:
• Financial ratios, balance sheets, cash flow, working with lenders, and enterprise analysis
• Human resource management, communication styles, and farm family insurance needs
• Legal issues, property titles, estate planning resources, and liability protection
• Marketing plans, access to market information, break-even price points, and contracts
• Production decision tools, soil maps, farmland leasing, USDA programs, and crop insurance
